Stylemasters College of Hair Design has
been in operation under the ownership and direction of Dr. John. S. Chilson since 1979. Dr. Chilson has Ph.D. in adult education
and curriculum development from Ohio State University. Dr. Chilson also owns and operates Cosmetology Careers Unlimited, a
college in Portland, Oregon.

owners are planning to fill more than half a million job openings this year. These will be both full-time and part-time jobs.
There are more working cosmetologists than elementary school teachers or lawyers.
Most stylists earn a commission on customer services and sales, and receive additional tips from the client. Average
hourly earnings range from $16.92 (employees) to $22.03 (owners). These are not maximums! Stylists who take good care of their
clients will earn more than employees who simply show up for work.
Placement
The college has an active placement office. This service is free to
our graduates. Actually, most of our graduates have jobs waiting before they finish school.
